The Goa Leg of Airtel Rising Stars 2012 will be held at Poriat Ground in Calangute on 18th and 19th August 2012.

Airtel Rising Stars 2012 is an initiative of Bharti Airtel and Manchester United and is being partnered by Procam International Ltd. The program is intended to identify India's top 12 footballers under the age of 16 through a nationwide talent hunt, who will then be provided with a once in a lifetime opportunity to train at the Manchester United Soccer School with their youth football team.

Schools are invited to register the top 12 footballers from the school in the Under-16 category (born on or after 1st January, 1996) to take part in the selection trials for the Goa leg, taking place on the 18th of August 2012, at the Poriat Ground, Calangute, Bardez. Out of all applicants, 120 boys will be short listed and called back on Day 2 (19th of August 2012) for further individual screening.

At the end of Day 2, the best 3 footballers from each city will be selected to progress to Phase II of the program, the Inter-City leg, where they will undergo a 6-day training camp/selections under the supervision of Manchester United Coaches. Thereafter, the top 12 footballers from that group will travel to Manchester in England where they will train at the Manchester United Football Soccer Schools with the Manchester United Youth Team.

Registration forms can be collected from the Goa Football Association office at Goa Football Association, 5th Floor, Atmaram Commercial Complex, Opp Nova Goa Hotel, Panaji Goa 403 001.

Schools have to send in their list of participants to the above address by sending a written letter to the Goa Football Association office address listed above by 10th August, 2012.

The registered participants from the school must carry a valid photo ID proof and a proof of age to the trials along with the filled in registration form. Accepted documents include a Passport, or a school ID card with watermark alongside a birth certificate, School leaving certificate, Ration card or Bank statement.
