GFA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD!
1. The Executive Committee of the Goa Football Association met today at the Nehru Stadium. At the outset the GFA President, Mr. Shrinivas Dempo proposed a resolution felicitating GFA Executive Committee Member, Mr. Benjamin D'Silva for being elected as Member of the Goa Legislative Assembly. It was also decided to congratulate former players Mr. Avertano Furtado and Mr. Glen Ticlo for being elected to the Goa Legislative Assembly.
2. The tournaments conducted by GFA were reviewed. It was decided to hold the following remaining tournaments as follows:
i) Women's State Championship: April/May 2012.
ii) U-18 League: April /May 2012.
iii) GFA Knock out Tournament: May 2012.
3. It was decided that the GFA President, Mr. Dempo will represent Goa at the AIFF AGM t be held on the 19th of March at Delhi.
Mr. Dempo informed that the GFA has proposed to the AIFF that the U-21 National Football Championship be restored either as an U-20 or U-21 tournament. He added that all age group tournaments should be held annually.
4. It was also decided that the GFA Executive Committee and the GFA Coaching Committee will have an extensive meeting to discuss and review the performance of all the Goa Teams in various tournaments.
