The Civil Judge Senior Division, Panaji, dismissed the application for temporary injunction filed by Velsao Pale Sports Club wherein Velsao Pale Sports Club had prayed that GFA be restrained from proceeding with the Professional League without the participation of Velsao Pale Sports Club.
TACA GOA U - 20
Taca Goa Cup is one of the oldest tournaments in Goan Football history, during those times all the senior teams and players use to gear up very seriously to excel in this tournament.
Taca Goa first started in the 1953 – 54 season, and discontinued some year back. The tournament was recently revived as U- 20 Taca Goa because of the hectic schedule of the senior teams.
This years’ tournament had 8 teams participating. They were divided into two groups (North and South). This year’s finalists, Utd. Club of Utorda and Salgaocar Sports Club had a very good run throughout the tournament. Although Utd. C. of Utorda lost their first league match against Salgaocar S. C. 1 - 4, they came back strongly to win against Vasco S. C. 3 – 0 and Tilamol Utd. S. C. 11 – 0, to qualify for the semi finals against SAI Hostel which they won comfortably 4 – 2.
UNDER 20 TACA GOA 2006-07
The U-20 TACA Goa Football tournament will be held from 15th March onwards. Clubs desirous to participate may submit their entries before 15th February 2007. Players born on or after 1.1.1987 are eligible to participate
