SEMINAR ON “TRAINING AND TEACHING FOOTBALL IN SCHOOL”

 

With the objective of improving the standard of coaching at school level, the GFA, in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and University of Porto, will be conducting 3 courses for Physical Education teachers of Goa.

The 1st course will be held from 12th to 14th of March at Margao, the 2nd course is from 15th to 17th of March at Panjim and the 3rd course will be held at Mapusa from 19th to 21st March 2007. The courses will include theory and practical sessions.

HONEYBEE FRIENDSHIP THIRD DIVISION LEAGUE 2006-07

The Honeybee Friendship Third Division League 2006-07 comes to an end on 5th November with the finals being played between St. Sebastian S.C. ( Santa Cruz) and Margao S.C.  St. Sebastian S.C. qualified from the North zone and Margao S.C. from the South zone.
This league has been the biggest league conducted by the GFA. It involved 98 teams playing nearly 300 matches in a span of 70 days at around 18 venues in Goa.
This year for the first time prize money has been introduced, the winners would receive Rs. 20,000/- and a beautiful crystal trophy while runners up would receive Rs. 12,000/- and a trophy. The 2 loosing semi-finalists Calangute Association S.C. and Vaddem S.C. would also receive a cheque of Rs. 7,000/- each.  
The tournament was sponsored by Honeybee. Smt. Sneha Bhobe, Mayoy of Mapusa Municipal Council will be the Chief Guest for the finals. The finals will kick off at 4.00 p.m. at Duler ground.
